I started Redsecta back in 2000 with the intention of providing affordable audio mastering services to hip hop artists, after doing it for some of my friends and local artists’ demos a few years prior. Over the last 25 years, I’ve worked with many independent artists and record labels from around the world, from up-and-coming artists releasing their first independent album, to seasoned artists who are considered legends in this genre. I approach every single mix that I work on with the same level of care, and my goal is always the same: to enhance the qualities that are already present. When I’m working on a project that has mixes from different studios, the goal then shifts to making the listeners believe that they were all mixed at the same place and time. 

I’ve also been dabbling with DIY audio electronics since I was a kid, starting with fixing a damaged portable cassette player that my dad bought me at a local Swap Meet from a junk/scrap vendor (one of the speaker wires inside had broken off, but that experience was enough to get me hooked). I’ve built and modified some of the tools that I use for audio work, and I’m now expanding Redsecta to offer some of my DIY audio builds, tools that I built years ago that have stood the test of time and have put up with daily use that I think others might find useful. Everything that I build uses top quality components and is designed to last a lifetime.
